Pluckdown terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-11

Agreement

These terms apply to Pluckdown, a browser extension made by TheSocialForks ("we"). By installing or using it you agree to them. The TheSocialForks platform has its own terms of service.

The free plan and the trial

The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Every new installation also gets the Pro features for 7 days, without a card. When the trial ends the extension goes back to the free plan by itself. Nothing is charged.

Pro

Pro is sold by the month, by the year, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. TheSocialForks is the seller, and payment is taken through Razorpay, our payment processor. Prices are shown in Indian rupees to buyers in India and in US dollars elsewhere, and the price on the checkout page is the full amount you are charged.

A monthly or yearly plan is sold in one of two ways, and the checkout page says which before you pay:

  • as a subscription, which renews at the end of each period until you cancel it; or
  • where a subscription cannot be run in your currency, as a single payment for one month or one year. It does not renew, and nothing more is charged. To continue afterwards you buy another period.

Your license key is shown on the page as soon as the payment succeeds. The Payment ID of your purchase, which is on Razorpay's receipt, also works as a license key, and we can look it up for you if you write to us from the email address you paid with. A key is for one person. It can be active on 3 browsers at the same time; you can deactivate it on one browser in Settings and activate it on another.

You can cancel a subscription at any time on the manage page or by writing to us. Once cancelled, nothing more is charged, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

"Lifetime" means for as long as we offer Pluckdown. It covers all updates to the Pro features that exist when you buy.

Refunds

If Pro is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country. The details are on the cancellation and refunds page.

Using the extension

  • You are responsible for what you capture and where you send it. Capture only content you are allowed to read, and follow the terms of the sites and AI services you use.
  • Pluckdown reads what your own browser can already show you. It is not a tool for getting past paywalls or access controls, and must not be used as one.
  • "Capture a site section" fetches pages one at a time, with a pause between them and a limit per run. Do not use it to copy sites in bulk.
  • Redaction and the removal of hidden text reduce risk but cannot be perfect. Check a prompt before you send anything sensitive.
  • Token counts are estimates unless you turn on exact counting, and exact counts use OpenAI's tokenizer; other models count differently.

What we do not promise

Websites change, and a site that reads well today may read badly tomorrow until we update the extension. Pluckdown is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or any other company whose products it works with.

Pluckdown is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is important we will also say so in the extension.
