Data Deletion Request

What data we store

TheSocialForks is a self-hosted, single-operator platform. When you authenticate with a third-party platform (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.) via OAuth, we store:

• Your platform username and external user ID
• An encrypted access token (AES-256-GCM) used to post on your behalf
• A refresh token (where applicable)
• Basic profile metadata (display name, avatar URL, follower counts)
• Feed items (posts, videos, messages) synced from your connected accounts

How to request deletion

To delete all data associated with your connected account, you have two options:

1. Via the dashboard (fastest): Log in to TheSocialForks, go to Platforms, find the connected account, and click Disconnect. This immediately deletes the access token, refresh token, and all associated feed data.
2. Via email: Send a deletion request to legal@thesocialforks.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the platform (e.g. Facebook) and your username. We will delete all associated records within 72 hours and send a confirmation.

What gets deleted

• The SocialAccount record (including encrypted tokens)
• All SocialFeedItem records synced from that account
• All ScheduledPost records queued for that account
• All audit log entries referencing that account

We do not retain any platform data after disconnection. Access tokens are encrypted and never logged.

Facebook / Meta — specific notice

TheSocialForks does not receive or store personal user data from Facebook Login. The platform is used exclusively by the operator (the person who installed the software) to manage their own Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts via system-user tokens.

If you are a Facebook Page follower or Instagram follower whose data may have been processed, contact the platform operator directly at legal@thesocialforks.com.
