Stowback terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-12

Agreement

These terms apply to Stowback, a browser extension made by TheSocialForks ("we"). By installing or using it you agree to them. The TheSocialForks platform has its own terms of service.

The free plan and the trial

The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Every new installation also gets the Pro features for 14 days, without a card. When the trial ends the extension goes back to the free plan by itself. Nothing is charged.

Pro

Pro is sold by the month, by the year, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. TheSocialForks is the seller, and payment is taken through Razorpay, our payment processor. Prices are shown in Indian rupees to buyers in India and in US dollars elsewhere, and the price on the checkout page is the full amount you are charged.

A monthly or yearly plan is sold in one of two ways, and the checkout page says which before you pay:

  • as a subscription, which renews at the end of each period until you cancel it; or
  • where a subscription cannot be run in your currency, as a single payment for one month or one year. It does not renew, and nothing more is charged. To continue afterwards you buy another period.

Your license key is shown on the page as soon as the payment succeeds. The Payment ID of your purchase, which is on Razorpay's receipt, also works as a license key, and we can look it up for you if you write to us from the email address you paid with. A key is for one person. It can be active on 5 browsers at the same time; you can deactivate it on one browser in Settings and activate it on another.

You can cancel a subscription at any time on the manage page or by writing to us. Once cancelled, nothing more is charged, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

"Lifetime" means for as long as we offer Stowback. It covers all updates to the Pro features that exist when you buy.

Refunds

If Pro is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country. The details are on the cancellation and refunds page.

Using the extension

  • What you save is kept in your browser. Removing the extension, clearing its data or losing the browser profile removes it: keep a backup file of anything you could not afford to lose.
  • Stowback restores which tabs were open, not what was in them. Text you had typed, scroll positions and sign-ins that have ended do not come back.
  • Opening a saved set of tabs makes your browser request each of those pages from its site, as if you had opened them yourself.
  • Stowing closes the tabs it saves. Pinned tabs, and tabs of sites on your never-save list, are not closed by it.
  • The importers for other tools’ files are marked beta. Check what was imported before you delete the original.

What we do not promise

Browsers change how tabs and tab groups work, and something that restores well today may restore differently after a browser update until we update the extension. Stowback is not affiliated with Google or with the makers of any other tab tool it can import from.

Stowback is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is important we will also say so in the extension.
